FREE and Confidential HIV/STD Testing Clinics

STDs don’t discriminate. Anyone of any age, gender, or background can get one. In an effort to keep Moab healthy and informed, the Moab Free Health Clinic is offering confidential HIV/STD (HIV,  Chlamydia, and Gonnorhea) testing.

The cost is free due to grant funding ($45 value for all three tests), but donations are always greatly appreciated.  Appointments are encouraged, but not required, and all are welcome regardless of health insurance status.

Mental Health Counseling Services

The Moab Free Health Clinic works with several mental health professionals to bring mental health counseling services to our uninsured and underinsured patients. Some examples of what they treat for are: alcohol and drug abuse, general clinical therapy, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, communication skills and much more.

Prescription Assistance

Do you need help paying for you prescriptions? Many pharmaceutical companies today have patient prescription assistance programs that can help low income patients pay for their medicine. The Free Health Clinic can help you with the application and to get started. Please call for an appointment.

BeWise Wellness Woman Clinic

The Moab Free Health Clinic welcomes Shawnee Ariotti, RN for the BeWise Wellness Clinic. From the BeWise website.


“The BeWise Program provides cardiovascular health screening and health coaching to eligible Utah women. The program partners with the Utah Cancer Control Program to link women to screening for breast and cervical cancers.

BeWise is for women ages 40-64 who are mid-to-low-income, underinsured, or uninsured.

The goal of BeWise is to provide women with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to improve diet, physical activity, and other lifestyle behaviors to prevent, delay, and control cardiovascular and other chronic diseases.

The Utah BeWise Program receives money from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention to provide these services. Utah is one of only 21 BeWise (also known as WISEWOMAN) programs funded by the CDC.

Eligible women enrolled in for the BeWise Program may receive the following health services:

  • Mammogram

  • Clinical breast exam

  • Pap test

  • Blood pressure test

  • Cholesterol test

  • Blood sugar (glucose or A1c) test

  • Access to a personal health coach, who will work with you to set personal wellness goals

  • Referral to other health programs (ie Chronic Disease Self-Management, Diabetes Prevention Program, Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, Weight Watchers Membership)

  • Medical referral and follow-up are provided as appropriate”

Psychiatric Services

The Moab Free Health Clinic offers a Psychiatric Mental Health Clinic usually on the first or second Friday of the month. Peter Haney, FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) Jayne Scribner, APRN (Advanced Practical Registered Nurse) and Robert Scribner, MD (Psychiatrist) all offer mental health appointments with the goal of diagnosing and treating the patient. Please call for an appointment.
